Btw, GRUB 2 added support for UFS and loaders for *BSD kernels recently.
Grub Legacy supports both UFS and UFS2. It's not a problem to boot with
it. I use it for WIndowsXP-FreeBSD-DragonFlyBSD-Linux box.
