Jumping in late here. I have Flash 7 working with Firefox on 6.1-RC. Here's everything I remember doing: 1) I apply the rtld_dlsym_hack.diff patch after every time I update my sources and before I build / install world. I don't remember where I got it but it should be in the mailing list archives. It should be sufficient to rebuild and reinstall just rtld. 2) I have these packages installed: linux-flashplugin-7.0r63 linux_base-8-8.0_14 linuxpluginwrapper-20051113_2 3) I have this in /etc/libmap.conf # [ALPHA SUPPORT] Flash7 with Mozilla [/usr/X11R6/lib/linux-flashplugin7/libflashplayer.so] libpthread.so.0 libpthread.so.2 libdl.so.2 pluginwrapper/flash7.so libz.so.1 libz.so.3 libm.so.6 libm.so.4 libc.so.6 pluginwrapper/flash7.so I also have all of the Flash6 lines commented out. I don't know if that's necessary or not. 4) flashplayer.xpt and libflashplayer.so in /usr/X11R6/lib/browser_plugins/ are symlinks to the real files in /usr/X11R6/lib/linux-flashplugin7/.
