FreeBSD-7.2 openldap-server-2.4.16_1 I just installed this port. For some reason it will not start correctly. I have all of the information entered in the /etc/rc.conf file and the slapd.conf and ldap.conf files are configured correctly. There is no 'PID' file created. Below is what I receive when I attempt to start or stop the program. /usr/local/etc/rc.d # ./slapd start Starting slapd. /usr/local/etc/rc.d # ./slapd stop slapd not running? (check /var/run/openldap/slapd.pid). /usr/local/etc/rc.d # ls /var/run/openldap ldapi= /usr/local/etc/rc.d # There is a 'socket' created, but that is it. I a pulling my hair out, what is left of it, trying to figure out what the problem is. Any suggestions? Thanks!
