2.3.9 is obsolete, current version is 2.3.12. Given the amount of
changes in this part of the code, you should really update.
...but i'm using your debian repository:

and 1:2.3.9.1-1 seems the latest here... while is updated on sid...

Better to use the latter?
2.3.10 is more up to date as 2.3.9, but is still obsolete. That's a
permanent issue with those packages, as Goneri doesn't have enough time
currently to maintain them.
