I agree that an Airport card should be the easiest way to get
wireless. There are also a lot of even cheaper and much faster USB
wifi adapters, although they would be limited by the slower USB 1.1
interface, so YMMV.

For OS 9, Classilla. For Tiger, TenFourFox. Both are optimized for G3/
G4 processors and have a pretty small RAM footprint.
