There is a GNU Assembly. You may disagree with it, or wish it didn't exist, or have complaints about its purpose or status, but it exists. Denying this doesn't help resolve any of the issues around it. And I really don't understand your fear of GNU maintainers getting together and discussing things outside of an FSF-sanctioned enclave.
