Hi Wm,

yes, I refer to exactly this.

Quite some time ago (1 or 2 years?) I had setup quite a proper report structure with many (~10) reports added to a multi-column report, just to find out later that this solution is not reliable but displays wrong data at some point of time. I did not dig deeper into this at that time and simply stopped using the multi-column report.

I was happy to read that you were able to reproduce this so it really makes sense to dig into this.

Hi there,

just to let you know I am still alive :-)

Regarding: "Apparently these two were forgotten."
Actually, I noticed that there two ways of how reports had been
implemented, with e.g. Net Worth belonging to a more generic but also
more complex implementation than the others - do not remember the
details anymore.

My conclusion was, that a merge would be best, but it requires more
detailed understanding of the report system. I tried to get deeper into
this over the year, especially as I have an itch with the multi-column
report that is able to display the wrong reports, but failed to make
time for this due to my professional life :-(
Not sure, when I can continue ... but I keep this on my todo-list.

If you have time and ideas around this, you are more than welcome to
overtake :-)
Carsten, is the multi-column issue you mention the same as this ?

if so it is the first time I've noticed someone else experiencing it and
we might compare notes because I have never settled in my mind why it
sometimes happen and other times doesn't.

Meanwhile I have written some (external to gnc) scripts to accommodate
the fact that it does often go wrong so it is an irritation rather than
a disaster when it happens.
