Hi, What happens if you run Actions -> New Account Hierarchy ??
Although this begs the question: why can't you File -> Export -> Export Accounts and re-use your existing Account Hierarchy? Why rebuild it from scratch? Which begs the next question: Why restart at all? GnuCash has no requirement for you to restart the data file, and will happily keep going. You can archive each year to refer back (or for posterity).
