Thank you, Mervyn, for sharing the origin of “Cock and Bull Stories.” Well, 
these tall tales were also shared during Cowboy and
 ‘Indian' encounters in the North American Wild West. And near my birthplace in 
Peshawar, now in Pakistan, where caravans coming through Khyber Pass had tall 
tales, called Qissas, to share. The name of the street in Peshawar is Qissa 
Khwani Bazar.

And your "accumulated junk’ has many such gems. Do share some more, please.

So, these scrapbooks may also contain your journals, which are probably the 
source of your delightful books.
