Some time ago we've setup custom domain SSL access to our GAE application through Google Apps for Work account as it was the only way to do it. Now Google has implemented Custom domains SSL directly in Google Cloud Platform (Announcement <https://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/detail?id=10794#c16>).
