I received the following question, and am replying to gossip as
it is general interest.

Is this a common frustration? I'm trying to guage demand for
this sort of thing.

If this is a problem, what would be the preferred solution:

an "advanced search" with more sophisticated controls?
bringing back history pages, more search results?
better integration a site specific google search?
 something else?

The search form queries htdig 3.1.6 and I think is set to a simple
AND query - all terms may be present. How strong is demand for
boolean queries (Jeff AND NOT Breidenbach) or other more advanced
query options?

Thanks in advance for feedback.
