Because you haven't implemented it. :-) I think the lack of audio support is a very large drawback. How large effort is needed to enable audio, via e.g alsa? It would be a huge job to do it. First you'd need to port drivers to Mach, then you'd need to write libchannel (libstore but for stream instead of block devices) and do some other stuff that nobody has pondered about.
