Hi, I have two similar configurations (single and dual monitor setups on my laptop). So, I used a very quick and dirty solution for this. Assuming that you use X-server only with a DE, you can add the same line to your DE's 'application autostart' or 'startup programs' list. I have both configurations in my startup list, but keep only one of them enabled as required.
