http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2010-June/095423.html I once had a vendor sys admin run an "rm -rf ./project/ subdir" and delete the entire ./project folder and 2 months of live data. Same vendor had also not noticed that automated backups had failed for many weeks and we were running without any backup for a long time.
