I know you have to specify for pop3 but web messaging worked as long as the url was correct. How will Imail know which user in which domain you want to log on as? If you had [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED], Imail needs to know which user you are, so the full email address would be required.   I only have one email domain setup on my test Imail 2006 Server and it logs in fine without the domain.
