How does it know if someone who only uses web mail has ever logged in?
I don't see any updating of the lastlog.in time stamp when using Web
mail.

Thanks,
John

Rather than do that, why not just use the LastLogin utility?

Have a good one,

Subject: [IMail Forum] lastlog.in file

Since web mail log-ins don't update the lastlog.in file, I have
considered writing an application that, at the end of each day,
would read the W1 file for successful logins and, if it is more recent
than the user's file info, update the time stamp.

We are a single domain, don't use IMAP. My questions: does anyone see
any particular faults in the logic and what other programs
use the lastlog.in file?

Thanks,
John
