PowerWare has a UPS line with controlled outlets (up to 3 KVA) Its is like a APC UPS and a Power switch, all for the price of a UPS I think it has 4 independant outputs, so you can remotely power up/down 4 servers, all from the UPS software.
We use much larger models, 9150 15KVA with 3Phase input 1 phase output, ideal to balance load on three phase We also use the 9170 a 12KVA with n+1 redundancy We use nti power switches behind the UPS ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles Frolick" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Chris Ulrich" <IMail_Forum@list.ipswitch.com> Sent: Thursday, December 30, 2004 9:35 PM Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] OT: KVM over IP & RemoteReboot > Hello Chris, > > Thursday, December 30, 2004, 12:38:57 PM, you wrote: > > CU> Sorry to go OT here, but with so many other hosts/ISPs you guys probably > CU> know this better than anyone and have dealt with it already.... > > CU> We're adding about a dozen machines and want to start using KVM/IP and > CU> equip these guys with remote reboot capabilities. > > > If you already have a KVM Solution you can add this box > http://www.realvnc.com/products/KVM-via-IP/. > > It will mean you don't throw away your current investment. > > CU> Second, we've about given up on a reasonably priced reboot solution.
