The solution I have in place at 2 clients with Exchange servers is the
following: (Can be adapted, see further down.)

1. Setup an archive domain account.
2. Copy all e-mail to that account.
3. Run exmerge daily from that account to create a daily PST file.
4. The PST file gets burned to CD for permanent storage and copied to a
store location on a NAS.
5. Using a program called ActiveFolders by C2C can run queries against the
PST files on the NAS and can either provide a report or copy matching
e-mails to a Public folder for review.

To adapt to Imail:
1. Create and use the copy all account.
2. Daily/weekly connect it that account via POP3 and download into Outlook.
3. Export messages by day into a PST file.
