I need to have intermapper email me on an event but not the IP address. I
what parts of the notification sections is the IP not there?

Subject: [IM-Talk] InterMapper 5.3.8 is available

Folks:

Dartware is pleased to announce the availability of InterMapper 5.3.8.
This release is a no-cost upgrade for everyone whose maintenance
contract is currently in force.

CHANGES SINCE 5.3.7:

    - Handle too-short WINS packet without ASSERTion failure.
    - Improved license certificate selection algorithm when choosing
from two FULL certificates to choose certificate with later maintenance
contract expiry (which may be important when eventually upgrading to 5.4.)
    - Fixed external authentication failure when using client licensed
from client license pool.
    - Fixed a bug which prevented English from being chosen as the
display language if it was not the system default.

Please see the Release Notes for a complete list.

InterMapper 5.3.8 brings a host of new features, including:

* Better performance when handling maps with many hidden interfaces:
InterMapper's handling of maps with thousands or tens of thousands of
interfaces has been revamped to be much faster and crisper. These maps
used to take many minutes to open; they should now be nearly
instantaneous, and they should be much more responsive once open.

* More powerful interfaces window: The interfaces window is now
modeless, which means that you may have many open at the same time, and
that you may still work with your maps while those windows are open. In
addition, the windows are updated at each polling interval so that the
data is now live, rather than static. You can now acknowledge and
unacknowledge interfaces and can toggle "Allow Periodic Reprobe"
behavior from the interfaces window.

* Many behind-the-scenes improvements in exporting to the InterMapper
Database and InterMapper DataCenter: There are many behind-the-scenes
changes to the way InterMapper exports data to the InterMapper Database
to improve performance and reliability, especially to prevent the act of
exporting from affecting the primary monitoring function of InterMapper.
There are also changes to InterMapper DataCenter to improve performance
and reliability.

* Localization: InterMapper is now available in Spanish, Chinese, and
Japanese. The Preferences contain a Language Options panel from which
you can choose the language you want to use in the user interface. In
InterMapper Datacenter, the first-start wizard includes a locale
chooser, with a corresponding chooser on the Settings page.

* InterMapper RemoteAccess license pool: You may want a number of users
to access an InterMapper server through InterMapper RemoteAccess, but
not all users need to connect at once. You can now purchase InterMapper
RemoteAccess "license pool" licenses and apply them to the InterMapper
server. Unlicensed copies of InterMapper RemoteAccess can then connect
to the server until all licenses are in use. Additionally, the Remote
Server panel of the Server Settings dialog now allows an admin user to
see a list of connected clients and to disconnect specific clients if
necessary.

* Simplified hide/show/deletion of interfaces: InterMapper no longer
distinguishes between hiding and deleting an interface on a map,
removing the need to answer a potentially confusing question when you
attempt to remove an interface. When you select and remove an interface,
it is taken off the map, but it is still available in the Interfaces
window. A contextual menu in the Interfaces window allows you to remove
it permanently. (NB: Interfaces removed this way may come back at the
next full reprobe of the parent device, just as they do now.)

* Integrated wireless probes: The wireless probe bundle is no longer a
separate purchase. All wireless probes are now part of the built-in
bundle, and the probes are available for inspection, modification, and
use as examples for your own probes. (If you currently have a wireless
license, 5.3 will combine your wired and wireless license counts into a
single count to apply to all devices regardless of family.)

* InterMapper Flows now has a 64-bit Windows version, to support much
larger RAM caches. In addition, it has also been localized to Spanish,
Chinese, and Japanese; has improved port filtering; and has numerous
small bug fixes.

* A large number of printing, probe, GUI, and notifier features.

For a complete list and detailed explanation of the new features in
InterMapper 5.3, please visit the "What's New" page and read the
relevant documentation in the User and Developer Guides. You'll find
links to both further in this message.

As always, thanks for your interest and enthusiasm for InterMapper.
