Hello Guys, Thanks again to all who gave advice on the 1610 kHz sermon at 0805 UTC, received on a C.Crane SWP Slider ultralight here on early Monday morning. Although the conditions were not nearly so good early this morning at 0805 UTC, Gene Scott's sermon was again weakly audible on 1610 kHz, and easily confirmed with the booming shortwave parallel on 6090 (which was at monstrous strength ever since local sunset). The normal TIS stations from Yakima (WSDOT) and eastern Oregon (NOAA weather) were way down in the noise, leaving the religious program as the only signal weakly audible on the frequency. Anguilla-1610 is a new Ultralight radio country here (in western Washington), and should be possible for most NW DXers who aren't close to a 1610 kHz local. Thanks again to Steve, Pete, Joe, Mark, Marc, Nick, and Saul for their identification tips, which proved completely accurate. 73, Gary DeBock (Puyallup, WA) C.Crane SWP Slider: 7.5" Amidon type 61 ferrite bar with 40/44 Litz wire sliding coil; Murata CFJ455K5 narrow IF filter **************Get a jump start on your taxes.
