I've checked out this branch and tried to build it on RockyLinux 8.8,
# the first issue was about many .py files getting this ....py: #!/usr/bin/env
python. Change it to python3 (or python2) explicitly.
which I managed to fix using sed to replace it all and resume the build and it
got complete
# Then give a shop trying to install ambari-agent using rpm :
sudo rpm -i
ambari-agent/target/rpm/ambari-agent/RPMS/x86_64/ambari-agent-3.0.0.0-SNAPSHOT.x86_64.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
python >= 2.6 is needed by ambari-agent-3.0.0.0-SNAPSHOT.x86_64
rpm-python is needed by ambari-agent-3.0.0.0-SNAPSHOT.x86_64
Could you please tell me how to get away from this rpm-python dependency? That
seems to be my only block and will be everyone else blocks
