Developer – 2 positions*

Role and Responsibilities

The role the applicant will be applying for is that of Oracle developer.
The applicant must be able to carry a pager and respond immediately to
alerts at all times while on call.  The applicant must be able to develop
new and support existing HP-UX shell scripts and Oracle stored procedures.
Support duties will include identifying problems with any new data entering
into the system or problems with any previously written programs, support
users, tune and troubleshoot data access applications and ad hoc queries.
The applicant should also be able to perform database management tasks
including automation of data loads, performance tuning, and space
management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

A 4 year degree in Information Systems with emphasis on data modeling or
equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

·         At least 3 years of experience with HP-UX scripting languages

·         At least 3 years of experience with PL/SQL

·         At least 2 years of experience with Oracle’s Enterprise Manager.



Additional Notes

·         Experience with the Oracle upgrade or installation process from
10gR2 in an HP-UX environment to 11gR2 in a Linux RAC environment  or to an
11gR2 in an AIX environment a plus

·         RMAN/Networker experience a plus

·         Experience with Linux or AIX operating systems a plus
