Converting libparted backend to KAuth did not work easily, and I think former Calamares maintainer had some issues, so that change was reverted. Hence, I'm now trying another approach to get Partition Manager to run rootless. I am writing another backend for partitionmanager/kpmcore that is not libparted based but calls external programs (mostly sfdisk). Once this is done it should be easier to switch to KAuth.
