I'd suggest that you use the traditional LaTeX compilation mode, i.e. disable
live preview and run LaTeX manually. You can configure ForwardPDF to display
the PDF file in the integrated viewer.
By the way, the editor component in Kile makes backups of the file very
frequently. There should be no need to manually save a file so often ;)
