This was extremely frustrating when gtk broke our code and they did not fix due to "it's just rambling Martin" Also I think there are more important areas like making Wayland work and thus resolving the issue. As I wrote my estimate is half a person year of work - my available time is about a hour a week. If you want it fixed: takk to gtk or make no-csd the default.
