            Bug ID: 470464
Summary: Allow the user to delete digits when inserting time in
                    event details
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kalendar
           Version: 23.04.1
          Platform: Neon
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: claudio.cam...@kde.org
          Reporter: sephiroth...@hotmail.it
                CC: c...@carlschwan.eu
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Currently, it is not possible to manually delete digits when inserting time,
e.g. during the creation of a new event. If you delete a digit, it is replaced
by a "0". This means that if you have, as an example, "20:00" and you delete
the two, you automatically end with "00:00" and the cursor placed after the
last zero, so if you type in "9" you end with "00:009". The only way to
circumvent this is to select the digit you want to replace, either with the
mouse or using shift+arrows, and then type in the new digit. This is far from
convenient or expected. It should be noted that inserting a leading 0 is not
even necessary any more after the resolution of bug 465674, so as a user I do
not see a technical requirement for this behaviour.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Bring up the "new event" mask
2. Delete some digits in the time field

OBSERVED RESULT
The digits are automatically replaced with zeroes.

EXPECTED RESULT
The digits are not replaced by anything, allowing the user to input new ones.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
