            Bug ID: 477450
           Summary: Idea for better connectivity
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kdeconnect
           Version: 22.04.3
          Platform: Ubuntu
                OS: iOS
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: ios-application
          Assignee: lucas.w...@tuta.io
          Reporter: kavebe5...@nasmis.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Hello All,

I noticed after trying to use the kde connect app with iOS it works pretty well
when iphone is open. however, as soon as it locks/goes to sleep connectivity
gets lost and you have to re-open app on phone, refresh on phone, and refresh
on app on linux and then it reconnects.
I know iphones tend to be finiky when it comes to permissions required for an
app to continuously run in background/maintain connectivity to app. recieve sms
and such.

I know that iphones have various MDM options. A possible idea, if you guys
haven't done so already. You may want to take a look at iphones MDM options to
give your app the access it needs. So perhaps you can deploy your app on the
phone, not as a connect app, but perhaps as a MDM agent, that connects to the
linux device and you should be able to do much more with those options.
