            Bug ID: 484085
Summary: Gwenview View mode will unmaximize window
    Classification: Applications
           Product: gwenview
           Version: 24.02.0
          Platform: openSUSE
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: gwenview-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: john....@pelago.org.uk
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When switching from Browse mode to View mode, Gwenview will unmaximize the
window if it was previously maximized

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Gwenview
2. Make sure in Browse mode
3. Maximise the window
4. Open an image, which will enter View mode

OBSERVED RESULT
The window is no longer maximized, even though it still takes up the whole
screen.

EXPECTED RESULT
The window is still maximized.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20240318
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0
Qt Version: 6.6.2
Kernel Version: 6.7.9-1-default (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz
Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 620
Manufacturer: HP
Product Name: HP ProBook 450 G4

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is a problem because the not-quite-maximized window has the window
controls in a slightly different place. So if you move the cursor to the very
top-right corner of the screen, the window close button is not highlighted (it
would be highlighted if the window was maximized), requiring a small additional
mouse movement before you can close the window.
