I agree with a "Always show battery charge level" option. The performance
toggle could be a seperate applet which by default is hidden in the system
tray, and only appears when the user adjusts it - perhaps clicking on said
applet's icon could cycle through the different performance options. Let's be
real here though; no one is checking their performance settings that often to
have those icons replace the charge indicator, apart from gamers. I personally
think the toggle or seperate indicator is a better idea.
