This time the numbering started at 1, but the offset was 2. In detail: The mutt sidebar showed two local paths at the left edge (like /var/spool/mail), which got the hints 1 and 2. And then there is one URL in the displayed mail, labelled 3. But I need to press Ctrl+1 to open it. At first I thought this happens because the URL appears a few lines above the two paths. So I mocked it in an editor and moved the URL around, and I still had to press Ctrl+1 when the URL was below the paths.
