The installation appeared to complete correctly. However, on rebooting the laptop there was no response to the Touchpad. Using "less /proc/bus/devices" results in a list that shows no touchpad or mouse detected. The SSD has previously been unused, other than to install Linux Mint, and Ubuntu version 19.1, which also failed to detect the Touchpad.
