For those nightly build users, the merge request to make the new schematic and symbol library file formats the default file format was merged so builds should soon be available. I wrote a detailed description on the KiCad user forum[1] if you are interested in the changes. Please test it and report any bugs so I can get this stable as quickly as possible so we can start to add new features.
