(1099/Corp-Corp)* *Required: Must have FX/FIX Experience* ------------------------------ *Job Description: * The support role with the Global FX IT Ecommerce Support team involves closely working with the traders, middle office staff, operations and product control in resolving ecommerce system issues. The candidate will be expected to communicate effectively with the traders and resolve/escalate issues. They should have previous experience of supporting FX ecommerce pricing systems This is a high profile role offering an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a large number of FX trading applications. *Job Responsibilities include: * - Support FX IT ecommerce applications from business perspective. - Support of a proprietary software application a price aggregation service. - Looking for someone with good FX ecommerce knowledge. - Respond to all user issues/queries within published timeframes. - Provide first/second line application support including trouble shooting issues, leading technical investigations and supporting mission critical platforms in a demanding 24/7 environment. - Accurate incident logging and tracking adhering to published procedures. - Produce and maintain support knowledge base and documentation and contribute to the team’s increased ability to service the user base. - Formulate solutions to reduce issue impact on the business users. - Train colleagues in the ecommerce sphere of knowledge and experience. - Share new skills with colleagues. - Liaise with internal development teams as well as vendors to accurately report on incidents requiring software changes. - Track development changes, perform and document testing and manage signoff through to production release adhering to all necessary compliance. - Sound understanding of FX ecommerce deal life cycle, from trade entry, settlement, including credit/market risk. - Able to perform quickly and accurately in a high pressure and highly dynamic environment whilst adhering to guidelines. - Candidate must have attention to detail and have the ability to work independently. - Prior experience of supporting trading / risk management systems and electronic trading applications. *Qualifications: * - Exposure to Microsoft Office suite of applications - Knowledge of UNIX (Solaris), Windows NT, SQL, MS Access & Excel and Oracle/Sybase. - SQL – Ability to construct simple statements to create reports. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate with traders/product control as well as other IT teams. - Wall Street Systems application knowledge. - Proactive - able to identify opportunities and develop new ideas that will lead to improvements. - Ability to develop relationships with internal clients to understand and address their needs. - Exposure to fixed income securities – bonds, and futures. - Ability to plan and organize the work so that it is efficient and effective and allows service to be delivered promptly and reliably. - Seeks guidance and advice when appropriate to accomplish tasks and perform the role in an effective and efficient way. - Ability to adapt/change behavior or plans to better achieve the target/objective. - Ability to analyze a complex problem and identify potential solutions by exploring and analyzing diverse alternatives, including, where applicable, risks and potential business impact. - Ability to make the right decisions based on the necessary information and to take measures accordingly. - High level of attention to detail in every aspect of work.
