Max Rate: $45/hr on C2C.

 ROLE: Oracle DBA

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will be part of our Infrastructure team and
responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and
maintenance of our high availability Oracle 11g and 10g database
environments as well as providing architecture guidance and best practices.



REQUIRED SKILLS:
•Managing Oracle 11g and 10g RAC environments on Sun Solaris platforms
(Logical Domains and Containers)
•Performance-tuning and monitoring of Oracle databases and handling large
databases, experience with different database monitoring tools
•Proficient with Oracle Streams implementation  and Oracle Database/Streams
Encryption
•Solid experience in SQL and PL/SQL tuning as well as writing and
maintaining SQL and PL/SQL scripts
•Database design - must have experience with logical and physical database
design
•Strong background in database and table space design, data partitioning
•Manage availability, database maintenance, backup, restore and recovery,
RMAN backups/recovery
•Setup and configuring databases according to internally documented
standards
•Working with project management team to manage project schedules,
priorities related database development, production and application
implementation
•Familiarity with Web-based application development, framework object
development experience, Oracle Relational Databases and J2EE platform
•Demonstrated working experience with Oracle data management tools e.g.
Oracle Enterprise Management



EDUCATION/RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
•BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of overall IT
experience or equivalent work experience
•Excellent communication skills and proven documentation skills
•Proven ability to work in a dynamic team environment, ability to work
closely with internal customers, developers and with cross-functional teams
and willing to accept new challenges
•Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and very good
analytical skills



WORKING SCHEDULE:
The candidate would be expected to work the following 40 hour week schedule:

•Saturday through Wednesday (Thursday, Friday off)
•9 am through 6 pm - Saturday & Sunday
•2 pm through 11 pm – Monday through Wednesday
