*Job Description*:
- Will provide *GIS application development of ArcGIS extensions, and
ArcServer development, deployment, and maintenance*.
- Ability to develop functional applications from use case descriptions,
write and debug code, create application user documentation, and maintains
web applications and software releases.
The GIS Developer will design and develop applications to meet the end
users requirements while maintaining, documenting, and testing source code,
development of programmer's manual and end user's guide.
- Provide configuration management, database administration, and software
architecture.
- Provide consultation, guidance, recommendations, and solutions on
existing and new applications to meet user requirements.
Minimum Requirements: BA/BS or equivalent experience in GIS, Computer
Science, or Information Management required. *

*Skills*
- A proven track record of experience developing *web based
applications ESRI
environment is essential*.
- *Minimum of 10 years experience development experience, 5 years of Visual
Studio experience and at least 3 years using ESRI's suite of software
applications and with relational databases including MS Access and MS SQL
*.
- Strong technical skill set is required.
- *In addition near expert understanding of ESRI's ArcGIS Map Objects
data model, Visual Basic, JavaScript, .Net 2003 and C# programming are
required. *
- Should be able to show and demonstrate developed applications
*Essential Skills:*
- *First and foremost this is a programming position *
- The candidate must be able to hit the ground running! There is no time
for on the job training
- The candidate must be current and already have an intimate knowledge
of:
- ESRI development environment
- Visual Studio 2008 (C#, Web, Web services, Windows Forms)
- Adobe FLEX and/or Sliverlight/WPF
- If the applicant has not already developed a GIS application
specifically with ESRI and Visual Studio 2008 they will not succeed in this
project.
