Job Description: Loc: San Antonio TX RATE : $40/hr c2c. The position will be responsible for ensuring that all production deliveries meet defined business end‐user requirements, are implemented with minimal defects, and fully comply with client standards of quality. The position will work closely as part of a team to migrate an existing set of applications from an acquisition to the internal client’s platform. The goal is to migrate, validate, and deliver a quality platform (i.e. set of existing acquisition applications) to the stakeholder team with minimal defects. The position will partner with Project Managers, Dev/DBA’s, and subject matter business experts to define user‐based testing approaches and a comprehensive test plan, review existing detailed test scripts, identify gaps and design new test scripts, coordinate the execution of tests, and provide a mechanism for reporting progress and risks (metrics-based). The position will be responsible for validating that the application delivery meets pre‐defined quality measurements. The position will engage the business’ key stakeholders to assist with the preparation, timely execution, and signoff of Quality Assurance (QA) testing (UAT/regression) and support of production implementation. As needed, the position will support testing activities in pre and post test execution. The position will coordinate with and alleviate any tasks (within reason) from the business users except test execution itself. In addition, this position will be involved in validating implementation to production and participate in project post‐implementation reviews (as required) to evaluate client satisfaction with the level of quality delivered. Formulate, document and coordinate the execution of tests to verify accuracy of reported fixes, product enhancements and new products. This involves test planning and test cases/script creation. Review and analyze validity of test output and script results to ensure tests are completed as expected. Establish, coordinate and control timely test activities for all implementations. Monitor and perform system/regression testing on applications as well as client specific files. Manage and resolve test bugs by gathering critical information needed for problem classification, and retest within appropriate guidelines. Utilize existing client test process and procedures while recommending potential improvements as lessons learned or future improvements (such as test automation, other) Ability to communicate effectively, create strong relationships, mentor, and work closely with client’s team and other supplier/ partners. Lead and participate in any migration or infrastructure activities (there will be a database upgrade for the data warehouse with this migration) to ensure the requirements and test scripts are testable and comprehensible. Create detailed QA and/or test cases to validate the quality of the application. Identify, document, troubleshoot, and isolate problems encountered during test efforts. Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing test results. Job Requirements: MUST HAVE Oracle experience (understanding of core processing, product knowledge) required – this role will be leading others that are subject matter experts in these applications. MUST HAVE demonstrated coordination skills and effective facilitation of test planning/execution experience, risk and issue mitigation, and escalation to management when appropriate. Minimum of 5 years of professional product/application testing experience in an IT environment. (should be primarily Oracle applications) Demonstrated commitment to quality, standards, and end-user-experience. Demonstrated experience in creating test cases/scripts from requirements or from user interviews, including user-based tests and validation of use cases. Demonstrated ability to participate in multiple complex applications simultaneously. Working experience with test management tools (commercial and open source) highly desired. Ability to interpret general business documentation, design specifications, system flow diagrams, and analyze the results. Strong Project Management and organizational skills used in fast-paced environment. Familiarity with waterfall and agile development methods desired. Strong knowledge of client-server, SQL, and web applications desired.
