Well I thought 'orange' rhymed with 'blancmange' - obviously from the
french 'manger'.

Then I thought perhaps blancmange isn't in the dictionary, but it is, and
pronounced 'bla-manzh' or 'bla-monzh' (except I can't reproduce the various
accents), whereas orange is given the pronounciation of 'orinj', which
rhymes with hinge, fringe, whinge, binge, cringe, etc, etc. And to get the
meter, you just add an 'a', a hinge and orange, an orange fringe, binges on
oranges, cringingly orangey........

We've already heard that purple rhymes with herple and I'll bet silver has
a solution too.

What a way to waste time!

Jane

PS for Tamara, henge as in hen+j
