On a TV programme travelling around Britain by train, Michael Portillo visited a factory where needles are made, and we saw the machines punching out the eyes of the needles.
I only found out a few years ago that there is a good side and a bad side when threading needles!! Now I have seen the needle factory working, I can understand it all a bit better!
