Contactless pickup has ended. All reserved materials can be picked up in
our open stack reserved materials area and checked out. Patrons who have
concerns about entering the building can call the library at 781-259-8465

Fall Saturday hours will begin on Saturday, September 11 and will run
through June 26, 2022.



*Sunday Hours*

The Lincoln Library is now closed on Sundays. Sunday hours will resume on
October 17 following the Columbus Day holiday on Monday, October 11 and
will run through April 25, 2022.

Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, Massachusetts Center for the
Book, and public libraries across the commonwealth are partnering on a
"*National
Book Festival Near You*" event. The event opens at 7 p.m. with a group
watch party of a video created for National Book Festival that features *Isabel
Wilkerson*, author most recently of *Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents.*


At the conclusion of the video, there will be a commonwealth conversation,
led by former State Representative and noted historian and library
advocate, *Byron Rushing*, and Salem State professor *Roopika Risam*,
recent recipient of a Mass Library Association Intellectual Freedom award.

The event is open to all and promises to be a lively and informed
discussion of the diversity, equity, and inclusion issues sparked by
Wilkerson's analysis. Please note that participants need not have read
Caste in advance. An overview of Wilkerson's argument will be available in
the materials sent to all registrants.

An Evening with Dmitri Kasterine

professional photographer Dmitri Kasterine. Mr. Kasterine was the still
photographer for director Stanley Kubrick. His subjects have included James
Baldwin, Liv Ullman, Mick Jagger and Queen Elizabeth II ! Mr. Kasterine
will discuss how his subjects behaved towards him, how he dealt with
difficulties and about the special moments (both joy and anxiety filled).
What motivates Mr. Kasterine and how he can tell a picture would be good.
