Sara (et al), That map shows not Needham but all of Wellesley and Weston joining the southwestern part of Lincoln (Precinct #1) in the proposed House district. Wellesley voters will surely outnumber Weston and half of Lincoln and be the dominant constituency. Lincoln is small to begin with and I may be naive, but it is hard to imagine an elected official attending much to <1,500 voters in one precinct among 40,000 in her/his district. But you are correct that Alice Peisch currently represents Wellesley. The proposed district is #14, the same number as Ms. Peisch's current district.
The map shows Precinct #2 of Lincoln in a proposed district with all of Carlisle, 2/3 of Concord, half of Acton and half of Chelmsford. Lincoln hasn't been split between two House districts in the 19 years I've lived here, but perhaps it was at some earlier time. It would be interesting to learn the experiences of other town split among representatives to see if that earns them more attention (becuase they have 2+ reps looking after their needs) or less (because their voices are diluted).
