The On Belonging Series Returns this Wednesday! The free speaker series,
which launched in 2021, seeks to feature individuals whose work is
advancing efforts to strengthen belonging and connection between
communities of color and the outdoors. Register at

We are excited to welcome *Claudia Fox Tree on February 22nd at 7 PM
EST.* Claudia
Fox Tree is a professional educator and social justice activist. In
decolonizing equity conversations, she centers Indigenous culture,
resistance, and contributions, while dismantling stereotypes and historical
inaccuracies in what is now known as North and South America. She asks
allies and co-conspirators to come on the journey with her. Claudia A. Fox
Tree (she, her) has been a middle school special education teacher for over
35 years. She earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Northeastern
University and is currently a doctoral student at Lesley University. Since
2000, Claudia has been a board member on the Massachusetts Center for
Native American Awareness. Since 1998, she has been a Massachusetts liaison
for the United Confederation of Taino People.

Register at the same time for *Leah Penniman's talk on March 8th.* Leah is
the co-founder of Soul Fire Farm and author of "Black Earth Wisdom." On
March *29th,  José G. González*, founder of Latino Outdoors and co-founder
of The Outdoorist Oath will close out the 2023 speaker series.
