Dear Lyx Developers,

The Conference on Computational Physics is an international
physics conference sponsored by the IUPAP. It the 12th in a series
originally located in Europe and the USA, and now also
includes the Asia/Pacific and Japan.

The CCP2000 conference will take place in Brisbane, Australia,
from Dec 3-8, at the Hyatt Sanctuary Cove resort. We feel that it
will be a well-attended and internationally significant event in
computational physics.

As the Chairman of the Organising Committee, I would like to
invite one of you to give an invited paper on Lyx and scientific
typography in a session on open source computing. We hope you can
can give a general overview of the field.

If you can accept, please inform us of your proposed title for
the invited paper as soon as possible. Registration is free for
all invited speakers, and I notice that one of the Lyx team
is already here in Brisbane!

All the details about the conference are available on our website,
located at:

I hope you will be able to accept the invitation - we look forward
to hearing from you. Please regard this as a tribute to all the
useful efforts of the Lyx team over the last few years, in bringing
out a user-friendly Latex.
