So do I have to face the fact that my computer system is 4 years old and never was speedy graphic-wise? Thus, there might be only 2 options: 1. Go back to 1.5.6 (How to convert files from 1.6?) or try out 1.5.7 (No deb package available yet, have to check if the speed is ok there). 2. Upgrade my system: Maybe an AGP card such as Geoforce 6200 would work in my system. The question remains, what changed in 1.6 in terms of new library usage that might have caused this increase in resource requirement? Regards, seacyd
