Black oil is to be expected. It's the nature of a diesel. Perhaps Mobil 1 is not as high quality of an oil as it once was. If you do use a flush product, I would probably pull the lower pan after draining the oil to make darn sure there is no chunks of sludge that will plug the oil screen.

It explains why my oil goes black instantly after an oil change. I have had the car for over 15 years and it had only 68kmi when I got it.
