I have what is called a detail rider on my policy. You can do it for jewelry
and collectibles.

I have nationwide now. But also did it with travelers.

I gave my agent a detailed list of my collection. With what I believe the
replacement is worth for each item. Especially anything worth over 1k.
They agree to that amount and insure it.

If there is a loss. We have a agreed upon value and there is no back and
forth.

After of course a deductible.

It works well.

Hello all,

I am looking for some suggestions on insurance companies that specifically
insure collectables. I know there is CHUBB and I have Hartford for my home
insurance and they allow a special binder for collectables. However, some of
my clients have insurance for their homes that don't offer insurance for their
movie poster collections. So, I was wondering of some other companies that
might just write a separate binder for collectables that they could have in
addition to their current home insurance. Any help would be appreciated.
