The Birds of North American account talks about the Western Meadowlark female giving a "rattle call," and the male giving a similar "roll" call. I have a recording of one of the two, but I'm not sure which. If anyone can distinguish between the two, and is willing to listen to the recording and give me their opinion, I'd appreciate it.
