I think I'm going to have to abandon the app model for deploying the
Office\Lync updates.

As an alternative I'm going to use a task sequence to install the client, then
trigger a Software Update Scan cycle, followed by triggering a Software Update
Deployment Evaluation cycle.

If anyone has any other recommendations for installing Office updates AFTER a
client install I'm all ears!

Thanks,
Mike

Subject: [mssms] Detection method for Office\Lync updates

Is anyone aware of a reliable detection method for Office\Lync updates or
hotfixes?

In the past I have used the following Powershell script for detecting Windows
updates\hotfixes but this doesn't work for Office updates.

Get-HotFix | Where-Object {$_.HotfixID -eq 'KB1234567'}

Thanks!
