I tried renaming the .mozilla directory and still Mozilla will not load, I have installed Firefox and that will not load either!
Some new versions of Mozilla and Firefox need to be run as root first before they will run as user. Try calling them from a root terminal, then close, then try again as user, and let us know if it works or not.
