Is that video card NOT a 3DFX???? I have a similar one called Alliance AT24
with Pro Motion using the AT25 3DFX drivers for Windows ( on my Windows box). 
Haven't tried this card with Linux as I have a Cirrus Logic 5465 in mine.
Try setting up with Glide enabled.
