Hello
    Thanks all for the suggestions regarding getting man to work.
Here is what I tried:
a) Re-installation of man softaware - It didn't work.
b) Copy of somebody else's man.config  to /etc/man.config. - It didn
work.
c) Use man as man -M /usr/man - it worked.

The funniest thing about it is I don't know why man won't work.

root@armagedon:/etc$ man -d
Reading config file /etc/man.config
found man directory /usr/man
found man directory /usr/local/man
found man directory /usr/X11R6/man
found man directory /usr/lib/perl5/man
found manpath map /bin --> /usr/man
found manpath map /sbin --> /usr/man
found manpath map /usr/bin --> /usr/man
found manpath map /usr/sbin --> /usr/man
found manpath map /usr/local/bin --> /usr/local/man
found manpath map /usr/X11R6/bin --> /usr/X11R6/man
found manpath map /usr/bin/X11 --> /usr/X11R6/man
found manpath map /usr/bin/mh --> /usr/man

it sounds good, doesn't it?

Unfortunately it doesn't,

root@armagedon:/etc$ man -w
/usr/local/qt/man

Man is stuck with qt somehow.

Any suggestions?

Thanks  a lot.

Eduardo
